The CHAdeMO - GBT adapter is designed to be able to charge a Chinese-made electric vehicle from fast charging stations from manufacturers ABB, Circontrol, Efatec, etc. In Chinese electric vehicles, the fast charging port is equipped with a GBT connector, which is not used in European charging stations. One solution is to replace the GBT port in the EV with a CHAdeMO port, but the simplest solution in this case is to purchase a CHAdeMO to GBT adapter as it can be used for all subsequent EVs.
